News has been received that a tribe, hitherto friendly, has twice attacked the colonial residency at Lerida, in Basoto land, but were on both occasions re* pulsed. London, November 23. Rioting in Ireland. A sanguinary fight took place at Ballina, County Mayo, Ireland, to-day between the police and the people who were obstructing the arrest of some Leaguers. . Several policemen were severely wounded. Fifteen persons have been arrested in Mayo on a charge of intimidating land* lords at Ballinrobe. London, November 22. The match between Hanlbn and Lay cock is off on account of Hanlon declining to pull under six weeks.
