Tokatea.—The contractors in the low level are making fair progress. < What if, supposed to be the wall of the reef still continues, but the reef has not yet appeared. This reef has been worked off and on for years. The company took out some good stone, and since that several tribute parties have done well out of it, bat it is very patchy and not to be depended upon. The company are now putting in a low lerel to cut it at depth. ' , ! Mayfiblik—Thik party have lately had a fine crushing from a few tons taken out J near the winze sunk to connect the two levels, They are now prospecting the ground in various directions for other leaders. The Kapanga are making good headway, deepening the shaft.. .There is a good deal of water, but the engine can easily cope with it. A substantial brick chimney has lately been erected in place of the old iron one in use. South Kapanga.— A low level is being driven in this mine, which is hoped to open up a portion of the Old Kapanga leader and several others whioh were proved gold-bearing in the surface levels. Success.—The. manager is pushing in a low level through very bard country to open up the lower ground on this vainable reef. The hardness of the ground 1 makes progress very slow, but judging from appearances this reef gets better at depth. . New Golden Pah.—The company are calling for tenders to let portions of the mine on tribute, as they intend to resume work again immediately. r\
