LATE ENGLISH NEWS.
The race between Laycock and Hosmer, the American sculler, on the Thames, resulted in favor of the Australian. The betting at the start was 2 to lon Laycock. Hosmer led for a mile and a quarter, when Laycock passed* him and kept the lead to the finish.
The indictment drawn up against five members of Parliament, namely, Parnell, Dillon, Biggar, Sullivan, and Seaton, charges them with conspiring to prevent the payment of rent and the enforcing of legal process and letting farms; also with exercising coercion and a general system of terrorism.
Earl Malmsbury has been married at Ely Cathedral to Miss Hamilton, a lady aged 24. ' . ■
