HAURAKI PUMPING ASSOCIATION.

In consequence of the receipt of instructions from bis board of directors, th« manager has made all the necessary preparations for pumping from the 400 feet level, the lifts having been lowered to that depth, and there now remains bat 60 feet of water to pump put. The manager does not think that the cost will be appreciably greater after the water is once down and the adjoining country drained. The pump was never working better than at present. <
