SPIRITUALISM.

(To the'&ditor of the ErswiKff Stab.) Sib,—According to promise, I herewith give you a description of the different mediums among the Spiritualist* I:—They1 :—They have their {feeing, writing, speaking, and healing mediums. . When in a clairvoyant state they know things ' without going through the process of learning them: their internal sight is opened so that they see and know at once that which they do not know when not in a trance. They hare speaking mediums—such as Mrs Britten and Mr Walker—who speak in' public under control, 1 and without any preparation. They speak upon aßy subject the audience may fix upon, and frequently, when in this state, speak upon subjects'of profound thought that surprise the most intelligent. They have mediums who,, when in. a trance or clairvoyant state, are qualified to* go to. any part of the earth, and give a correct description of places .they never saw; and they are also able to give,a full description of the planets. I will give yon' a specimen from Mr Andrew Jackson Davis, when speaking about the planet' Saturn—After giving a lengthy account of the geology aud temperature, and the vegetable and animal kingdom; on that world, he then speaks of man as he exists there. He says that the body is of perfect form, and is characterised by a symmetry unequalled in any other being existing. They, have, strong social attachments, but they aire governed by intellect, and veneration in them is very deep and impressive. Nothing, i however, is revered but that which" the judgment responds to as being true. They form associates according to internal desire; they take upon %emselves mates according to mutual inward approbation; there are uo' mistakes or repulsions; and love and purity abideth with them fjr ever. Then they Have their healing medium**, who are equally surprising, 'thousands have been healed by them. It is no charm or miracle, but is generally done by magnetism by a person that is very magnetic, and it acjc as a battery upon the patient. WJoat gives them a better chance for healing,is that wheft they are in a clairvoyant state, they are able to see through thee human system, , and can see 1 where the disease is. . Th»y consider that, it; is bated t upon the' soundest philotophy that disease is Continued in Fourth Page,
