The above is at present the programme, so far as I can learn, but it may be modified when Thames officers arrive,, MKIiBdUBNE CUP. Mr Bartlett, the photographer was very lucky, having drawn three horses in Mr Abbot's Melbourne Cup. Other persons who never expected anything were equally fortunate. THE MEMBER FOE WAIPA. Mr P. A. Whitaker, member for Waipa, Waikato, intends addressing the Hamilton section of his electors next week. He seldom ventures outside that township to deliver a post-sessional address except when on the electioneering stump. SIB GEOBOE OBEY. It is expected that Sir George Grey, your veteran member, will come up to Auckland by next Wednesday's steamer from Kawau, and spend a couple of weeks in Auckland. SIB ABTHUR GOBDON. The new Governor is likely to reach Auckland about the middle of the present month: PEBSONAL. Mr Sheehan is expected to leave Wellington for Auckland on Friday next. He may remain in Napier for a few days on his way hence. MBHUBST. At the earnest solicitation of Mrs Wm. John Hurst that gentleman is going to get rid of all his prize pigs. The member for City West finds this will be for his peace of mind, as my friend Mr Wickham nas brought his cattle (P) and himself into quite a recognised chaffing, which nay be too much for the owner, and make him depressed, should it be persevered in.
