This day.
Hammerick's Bising Son hotel wag discovered to be on fire at 2.40 this morning. The inmates had a narrow escape, some having escaped bysliding down the verandah posts. The hotel stables and outhouses were completely 1 destroyed. It is not known how the'fire originated. The insurances are:—North British and Mercantile, £1000; United, £500; imperial, £500; Union, £250; Colonial, £250.
