Waagamii Baces. Wanganui Stakes Handicap.— Hailstorm, 1; Opawa, 2; Rocket, 3. Astronomer, Ottawa, My Dream, Marie Stuart, and Wilberforce also started. Hailstorm and My Dream were made favorites at 3 to 1. Wilberforce made the running for a mile, and ihen Socket assumed the lead, with Hailstorm second. On entering the straight, Hailstorm challenged the leader, and gradually wore him down winning by a length. Opawa came with a rush at the finish, and beat Rocket for second honors by a head. Time, 4mins. 7fsees. ! •:'■.•■■ v ' Railway Ppate.—Hailstorm, 1; Redeemer, 2; Soukar, 3. Five started. This wat a punishing race between first and second horse, both running neck and neck the whole way. Hailstorm ran with great gameness, and won by half a length. Soukar never could get up, and finished a bad third. Time, 2mins 47?8ecs. Consolation Stakes.—My Dream, 1, Socket 2; Opawa, 3. Very fist race; with good finish.
