London, Qcjober 11. The land agitation in Ireland, and outrages arising from it still continues. The Boman Catholic feeling against the League is spreading. The Archbishop of Dublin's pastoral address and Bishop Clones' speech are significant of this feeling. Earl Annesley, Lord Temple* more, and other landlords refuse to winter

in Ireland.

The Duke of Connaught has met with an accident on falling from his horse. He was only slightly injured. Sir Bartle Frere, who recently arrived in London, has had an audience of the Queen. It is thought that there are fire peers marked for shooting in Ireland. Mr John Buskin, the art critic, in a recent letter in connection with the Lord Bectorship of the Glasgow University, at present held by Mr Gladstone, declares that he hates Liberalism as he hates Beelzebub.

It is asserted that Bussia has advised Prince Nika, of Montenegro, to refuse to accept the cession of Dulcignouunles s upon terms which would be likely to produce hostilities against Turkey.
