The passes are now completed and in excellent working order. The drive at 70 feet level is being pushed ahead as rapidly as possible in order to connect with the winze from Whau level. The lode recently jumped into the hanging-wall in consequence off a splice, and it is being now cut across to reach its hangingwall, when operations straight ahead will be resumed. The quartz contains good minerals, and has a satisfactory appearance. .
