FIELDING.

This day.

S. Weatherly, a road-man was found drowned in a creek on the Fielding and Ashurst road this morning. He leaves a wife and a large family totally unprovided for. Later. An inqueet was held this morning at the Empire Hotel on the body of Henry Weatherly who committed suicide by drowning in the Taonui Creek. The deceased tied his hands with an handkerchief, and jumped into two feet of water. Verdict: "Suicide while of unsound mind." The deceased was an old Crimean soldier of the Coldstream Guards, and and had a medal and clasp for Sebastopol, and the Turkish medal.
