The Timei, in a leading article today referring to the Tarko-Greek frontier question, says that England will alone not beprepared to assist the Greeks to obtain the required extension of territory should other powers decline to enforce Turkey to agree to the line of demarcation fixed by the Berlin Conference.

Constantinople, October 22. Getting Bid of the Opposition.
Information has been received that four chiefs of the Albanian League, who hare taken a prominent part in agitating against the cession of Dulcigno, hare died at Scutari. It is bettered they hare been poisoned. :
The Montenegrin authorities hare informed the delegates of the Powers at Cettinge that they cannot consent to the Porte's proposal that Montenegrin troops should enter Dulcigno three hours after it had been evacuated by the Turks; but that they must insist on a formal transfer of the town. The Forte has been informed of the Montenegrin demand, and is now further considering what steps to take in making the cession. London, October 22. TBICKETT AND LAYCOCK. Trickett and Laycock hare gone to the Isle of Wight, where they will continue to train for their matches. The wool arrivals to date for the next series of wool sales amount to 60,000 bales. The tone of the market is quiet. Constantinople, Oct. 21. There are hopes that a satisfactory settlement may be arrired at by the
delegates of the Great Powers to Turkey, who are now deliberating at Cettinge regarding the cession of Dulcigno. The Porte 1 s delegate has proposed that Dulcigno should be evacuated by the Turkish troops now in occupation three hours before the time fixed for the. Montenegrins to enter the town. It has not transpired whether the delegates of the Powers have accepted this proposal. SINCERITY OP THE PORTE. The Porte has moreover withdrawn its demand that status quo should be main* tamed as regards the territory to the east of Scutari, and the doubts which existed as to the sincerity of the Ottoman Government are thus removed. Nw Yobk, October 21. The Commissions supervising the elections now proceeding .have dis-, covered gross bribery on the part of several candidates. ' Athens, October 21. GREECE AND THE POWERS. : The Greek Parliament was opened to-day by the King in person. His Majesty, in his speech on the occasion, said that the execution of the decision of the Great Powers for the rectification of the frontier, imposed action on the part of Greece, had rendered it necessary that her armament should be increased. With this object Parliament would be asked to sanction the necessary loans raised. His Majesty added that the regi> ments forming the additions now being made to the great army would not be disbanded until the object for which they were, being mobilized had been obtained.
