The Auckland Stud Company have sold the pure Clydesdale entire, Prince Arthur to an Opotiki settler. :
The Harbor Board received a numerously signed petition in favor of the establishment of a fish market, which has been referred to the Works Committee.
The question of constructing a dock of sufficient size to accommodate the largest vessel was discussed by the Harbor Board, and referred to the Works Committee. Twp offers of sites were received at Calliope Point, cost of interest and sinking fund variously estimated at from 2s to 6s extra per ton to importers.
The Diocesan Synod hare agreed to place all the Sunday Schools and the appointment of teachers under the control of the ministers of parishes, and also to refer the disagreement between the clergymen and vestries to the Standing Committee.
