It had been arranged that on Saturday a match, Married v. Single, should be played, but at the time appointed for the pitching of the wickets, more than halt' the Benedicts were non est. It was consequently decided to play a scratch match —11 v. 18. As will be seen from the scores giren below the 11 were overmatched, the bowling of Strongman for the 18 contributing largely to the viotory

of that team. For the 11, Messrs McMillan and Lawless baited carefully and with judgment, they being the only players in their team who put together double figures.
