A singular relic of Burns wm recently offered for sale. It is a poem entitled "The Friar's Carie," written on two panel of glass that once formed part of s summer-house in. the groups of Friars' Carse, near Dumfries. It begins :~

" Stranger go j bearen be thy guide 1 Quoth the BtdNman of Nidside." The original glass has been inserted between two pieeei of plate-glui, and placed in a strong oak frame.
