This day. A woman named Ellen Conrad met
with a serious accident while crossing the railway on Saturday night. She was caught by the cow-catcher, it breaking her right thigh besides inflicting other wounds.
A smart shock »f earthquake on Saturday night at 7.3 was followed by two successive shocks at 7.8, the direction being N.W. to S.E. No damage done.
