The Outlaw Hunt.

W. J. Hunt, commenced his action against Sir Arthur Gordon, claiming two thousand pounds for removing him wrongfully from Samoa; Arrived: Aiawata, after a fast passage of under 23 hours from Gisborne. Saturday. The Boyal Hotel, at Onehunga has been burnt to the ground. It cost four thou* sand pounds, and belonged to Mrs George. There was no water available. Assistance was called for from hands at Boe's mill, but only a few were present the others being away at dinner. The next building which was of two stories, of wood, was destroyed in half en hour, it was built at a cost of £800. The total cost with fittings was £1000. The barman supposes the fire was caused by a spark from the chimney of Boe's mill, which is at no great distance. Another theory is that it was caused by the chimney of the hotel igniting the shingles. Only Mrs Weston and a female servant (Mrs Hunt) were in the house, the proprietor, Wm. Weston, being in Auckland. There was no insurance on the furniture and stock* The latter is valued at £150. About £7 worth was destroyed, also between £40 and £50 in cash, and £16 worth of jewellery. Mrs George, the owner of the building, had an insurance on the building. THE HUNT CLUB MEETING. The Pakuraga Hunt Club races were largely attended.
