A Plant of Grog Sprung at Whangamata.
Information has been received that Mr Inspector Kenny and a party of the Con? stabulary have sprung a plant of wines and spirits to the value of £150 at Whangamata. It appears that the Government were informed of the fact of a large quantity of spirits, and it was said arms, had been planted at Wbangamata, and erase.
quently when the Stella arrived in Auckland from Tauranga, she was despatched with a party of A.C.'s under Inspector Kenny to make enquiries, &c, about the supposed plant. The information has turned out to be correct, for a large quantity of spirits hare been found secreted near tbe residence of a person who for certain breaches of the law was lately before the Court.
