AUCKLAND.
This day. Acquittal of Sainsbury. In the Supreme Court to-day John Sainsbury, Whangamata, was acquitted on the charge of selling ammunition to the natives.
The Seamen's Union last night elected a committee, and the meeting was addressed by Sangster, a delegate from Victoria.
Contingents pf the Constabulary from Cambridge and Alexandra left yesterday for Wellington.
