Thames High School.
The monthly meeting of the High School Board of Governors was held at the Borough Council Chambers this m >rning all the members being present. I he letters received and forwarded since last meeting were read and considered, the only one of importance being a notification from Government that the balance ot the £400 vote had been placed to the credit of the board's account, in compliance with the request of the Governors of last meeting.
The monthly report of the Head Master was read, and some considerable discussion as to the advisability of appointing an assistant master, as recommended by Mr Adams ensued. It was eventually decided to engage the services of Mr James, a gentlemaa qualified to teach the higher branches of education including drawing, at once. The Chairman, Dr Kilgour, and Mr
Speight, were appointed a visiting committce. for'the current month, and after passing a number of accouuts the meeting concluded.
