At the Waste Lands Board yesterday Capt. Steele, local agent for Grant and Foster, proposed the deferred payment system for the purchase of seventeen thousand acres of Te Aroha land. The Board agreed to part with the land at forty shillings an acre on certaiu conditions respecting residence, cultivation, an'd improvements.
