It is, I may say, a matter of regret to us all that we should lose you ; at the same time, I may say, that we one and all congratulate you on what we believe will ultimately tend to your prosperity in life. We are at all times loath to part with an old face, more especially one whose many social qualities win for him the many friends that yon have during your long residence among us; and we trust that wherever you may be and wherever yon may go prosperity will attend you in all your undertakings. I have much pleasure in presenting you with this ring as a token of respect from your many friends here.
