The Australian Eleven.
The Australians play a match against the Nottingham County Eleven on the 23rd and two following dajs. They leave England for Australia by the mail of Bth October. The cricket match at Edinburgh, Australians r. Eleven Gentlemen of Scotland, was resumed to day. The Australians went in for their first innings and were all disposed of for 142 runs. The Home team tben went to the wickets for their second innings, and when slumps were drawn for the day they had scored 106 for the loss of fire wickets. September 18. The cricket match Australians versus Eleven Gentlemen of Scotland, was resumed and concluded to-day at Edinburgh. The Home team continued their innings, which closed for 130 runs. Boyle for the Australians bowled splendidly, and did the "hat trick" taking three wickets in three successive balls. The Australians requiring 132 runs to make to win, went in for their second innings; they obtained the re* quired number, with a loss of only four wickets, and thus won the match by six wickets. Jarvis and Alexander batted well, scoring respectirely 41 and 47. Both were caught out. The death is announced to*day of the Eight Hon. Sir Fitzroy Kelly, Lord | Chief Baron of the Exchequer, aged 84 years. Paris, September 18. Another Reaction. A crisis which has continued in the French Chambers for some days past in regard to the expulsion of the Jesuits has now terminated. It is announced that Turkey has sent a note to the Great Powers protesting against the proposed combined naral demonstration, because it is feared the same will cause anarchy in tho Turkish Empire. The' Porte, howerer, agrees to guarantee to carry out the demands of the Great Powers in regard to the cession of Dulcegno if the naral display is abanboned. Constantinople, September 19. The Albanians at Duloig&o. Intelligence has been receired here that the Albanians hare reoccapied Dulcigno and expelled the Turkish garrison, which was stationed there.
