This day. Intimidation. A case arising out of the tailors' strike was heard at tbe Magistrate's Court this morning. John Mendall was charged with having threatened to blind and to break the arm or leg of Matthias Lorenson, because the latter refused to join the Tailors' Society and act with the men on srtike. The Bench ordered the accused to be bound over to keep the peace for six months, and expressed a determination to].^inflict the severest possible penalty on the slightest attempt I at anything of the kind in future.
