Monthly Inspections.
HAURAKI ENGINEERS.
This fine corps mustered iti full force for their monthly inspection last evening under the command of C'apt. Small and Lieuts. Denby and Leydon. The fine brass band of the company, under Bandmaster Sullivan, was also in attendance. On the arrival of the inspecting officer, Major" Murray, the arms and accoutrements were subjected to a rigid inspection. After this the corps was put through some smart drill by its officers, and having been marched to the railway reclamation were exercised in skirmishing, charging in line, rallying squares, and receiving cavalry drill. The gallant major complimented , the " second "to noue's,'* and informed them of the invitation that had been received to attend the review at Auckland. He expressed a hope that if they made up their minds to go,that there would be a good muster of all the companies in the district.
