THAMES RIFLE RANGERS.
This company was inspected by Major Murray last night at the Volunteer Hall, Shortland. There was a capital turn out under Captain Farrell and Lieuts. Kitching and Douglas. Lieut-Instructor Grant exercised the corps in a number of movements, all of which were executed with credit. Vol. Downie was presented with: Captain Howe's prize, a valuable double-barrelled gun.
