JOKEB. ; . >;i A few weeks ago the shareholders struck rich gold in the leader worked by Agnew and party on tribute, and ■ioeethen they have taken out a crushing of general dirt and specimens, which on being sent to the mill, yielded lOSozs. There was about seven tons of general stuff and 381bs of specimens, the latter being" worth from 1| to 2oes per lb. all round. The leader is about eight inches thick, and the shareholders anticipate taking a few . more good crushing* out of the present patch. This mine is a very valuable property, and the proprietors deserve - their luck, as they pluckily spent £2000 in opening up the ground before getting anything substantial. Several tribute parties are making fair wages. GOLD EBTUBNS; Southebn Cboss. — The manager banked 12ozs Bdwts gold to-day. Invbbness.—A crushing from MeLeod's tribute produced 4oass. 13dwts gold. Moktgomuy Beos.' Claim.—A orush' ing from this piece of ground yielded 56ss 18dwtsgold. . . Kfbanui Hill.—Pearce and party's crushing at the company's mill yielded 44f ozs gold.
Victoby.—A crushing from this claim yielded Bozs gold. " ...
