A leader 3 inches thick and showing a little gold has been met with. Intermediate level.—ln driving cast on the hanging-wall branch we have broken into old stopea on No. 2 reef. There remains a large block of payable ground on those leaders to work out at this level, and also 132 feet level. 150 feet level.—A new cross-cut will be started in a few days on east side of No. 2 slide for the purpose of prospecting the ground in this direction; During the past fortnight 324 tons of quartz including lircwt. picked stone, has been crushed, yielding 229 ounces retorted gold.—l am, &c, Robert Comeb."
