London, September 6. All - England Eleven v. The Australians—Splendid Score of the Englishmen. The match between the All-England Eleven and-the Australians was commenced to-day. The Home team went in first to the wickets, and when stumps were drawn for the day had lost eight wickets for 410 runs, of which Mr W. G-. Grace made 152. The attendance was very large. The fielding of the Australians was excellent, and the weather throughout the day was very fine. A capital wicket was pitched, and the ground was in good order. Spofforth was absent. Calcutta, September 7. Ayoub Khan in full retreat. Intelligence has been received from Candahar that Ayoub Khan is retreating with all possible speed along the road to Herat. He is accompanied by Hassim Khan and a large body of Heratee cavalry.
