RE CHABIjEB W. HOVELL. Mr Brassey applied for the discharge of this bankrupt, who deposed that he bad given up all his property to meet the demands of his creditors. Granted.
H. T. BOWE V. HEBAMINA tE BAINGA. Claim, £64 16s 9d, amount of a promissory note. Defendant did not appear, as he was ill, but sent another native to represent him. ' H. T. Howe, sworn, deposed—He knew defendant. The signature on the note (produced) was that of defendant, who understood what he was doing when he signed it. It was interpreted to him. Judgment for plaintiff with costs, £5 11s. MCILHONE V. TINIPOAKA. Claim £50, amount of a promissory note.
H. Mcllhone deposed—He knew defendant. The note (produced) was signed by defendant, who thoroughly understood what he was about. He had not received any, payment in lieu of the note, though he had presented it to defendant; Judgment for plaintiff with costs £4 10s. Court adjourned.
