BIIST Brothers, drapers, of Sydney, have spent £37,000 in advertising in six jears. Commencing in a small way, thay now employ 200 .hands, und have many branches. The firm commenced advertising largely in 1874. In May of that year their receipts were £40 a month. By April of the following year they had rison to £1,017 a month. Thoy increased their advertising with their business, and in May, 1875, the receipts had risen to £2,000 a month. In 1879 the business was close upon £1,50,000. At the present time the colony pays in pensions £21,262, which represents the interest on nearly a quarter of a million of the Colonial debt.
