PARLIAMENTARY.

(Peb Pbbss Association.)

HOUSE OF KEPKESENTATIVES.

Wellington, Sunday.

The House met at 730 last night. On resuming the Sergt.-at-Arms was sent for Mr Pyke, who, on taking his seat, was asked if he had any explanation to offer. Mr Pyke said he had not heard the Chairman order him to sit down. His refusal to sit down was addressed to members who were calling out " Sit down! " He intended no disrespect to the Chairmen of Committee. This explanation was received as satisfactory, and the matter dropped. The remainder of the supplementary estimates passed. The Property Assessment Act Amendment Bill fTo. 2 was passed through all its stages. The Governor's message stated that the Deceased Wife's bister's Marriage Bill was reserved for the Queen's assent.

The House rose at 11.40 p.m.
