CALOGRAMS.
(Reutbr's Special to Association.)
Calcutta, August 27. It now transpires that the news received to-day regarding the mutiny among the troops of the Khan of Xlielat is greatly exaggerated. London, August 27.
It is announced that no information has reached Government regarding the report published by the Standard of the defections from Abdul Rahman's troops to the ranks of Yakoob Khan and Ayoub Khan.
In the House^of Commons last night a bill regulating stowage of grain cargoes was read a third time and passed. The House then proceeded to deal with the estimates, and on the vote for the Irish Constabulary being proposed, the Home Rule and other Irish members opposed it on the ground of the military character of the Constabulary force. A long and excited debate followed, the Irish members vigourously obstructing the passing of the vote.
The discussion lasted during the remainder of the Bitting, which did not close until noon to-day, when progress was reported and House adjourned.
The debate will be resumed on Monday next. THE CHAMPION OARSMEN. Trickett and Laycock are now both at Putney, training together for their respective races with Hanlon and Blackman. ■
