WELLINGTON.
This day.
Arrived: Barque Irvine and ship St. Leonards from London. One of the crew of the former jumped overboard the day after leaving, and was drowned. It is supposed he had been suffering from delirium tremens.
A deputation waited on the Colonial Secretary to urge the necessity of a new cemetery for Wellington. Hon. Mr Dick promised the matter should receive the earnest, consideration of the Government.
