THE COMING ELECTION.
(To the Editor of the Evening Star.) Sib,—l see that the Advertiser is trying to turn the coming municipal election into ridicule through suggesting that several persons pre-eminently unfit to hold the honorable, positions of Borough Councillors should be brought forward. This, though it may afford infinite amuse* ment to the editor of the Advertiser and his cronies, will have a prejudicial effect on the Borough, as it may prevent the proper class of men coming forward. We need men of sterling - abilities at the municipal rudder in the present crisis, and I trust that these will be induced to come forward, and not a parcel of worthless nonenties.—l am,'etc., .-. ■ . ■■
