GISBORNE.
This day.
Nahorohare, a Maori who was com* mitted for trial some time ago, escaped yesterday morning from Gisborne gaol by scaling the walls. He left word with some of his relatif es that the reason for his running away was that the gao' accommodation was insufficient; but as soon as an alteration takes place in the supply of food and blankets, he promised to write to the Magistrate and return to gaol. He has not yet been captured.
