General Primrose has lately sent out several parties of skirmishers, who have' made successful attacks on the Tillages of hostile tribes in the districts around Kandahar.
Cabul has been evacuated. Everything was quiet on the departure of the. troops. The relieving force now advancing towards Candahar has been unopposed. GERMANY AND AUSTRIA ON EASTERN AFFAIRS—PEACEFUL SOLUTION EXPECTED. Berlin, July 12. A meeting has taken place at Iseo, between the Emperors of (Germany and Austria, when their Majesties discussed the present aspect of affairs in Eastern Europe. It is understood that their interview gives hope of a peaceful settlement of questions now requiring adjustment. •
