THAMES NATIVE VOLUNTEERS.

These dusky warriors paraded at tbe Shortland Hall after the dismissal of the Rifle Sangers, and were officially in* spected by Major Withers. The master was nearly up to the strength of the corps.. Major Withers hating closely inspected the ranks, the corps were exercised by Lieutenant Grant in marching drill and rifle exercises. The officers present were Lieutenants Raika (in command), and Matiu Poona.
