THAMES SCOTTISH No. 2.

The monthly inspection of the Thames Scottish No. 2 Company eventuated last evening, Major Withers being the inspecting officer. The following officers were present:—Capt. Watson (in command), Lieuts. Crump and Coney, Adjutcirt" Schofield, Qr.-Master Symington, and hon. Surgeon Callan, and about 60 rank and file. The band of the battalion waa likewise present, and performed several selections. After inspection and roll call, Lieutenant Cramp put. the company . through the manual- exercise, and -Lieut.' Coney also took his turn, putting the men through the firing exercise. At the con* elusion of the inspection the gallant Major expressed himself highly delighted with the physique and efficiency of the -corps. A short march.out then took place, the corps being dismissed at about 9 p.m.
