Mr Berry addressed his constituents at Gcelong last, and said he would strictly adhere to his latest views on the Reform question. He would introduce a bill to abolish the plural voting at elections, and proposed to meet the existing deficiencies by retrenchmebt.including twenty per cent. reduction in the salaries of ministers, governors, judges, and civil servants. The police department will be re-organisrd. The existing deficiency i 5£648,000, and the assets, including selectors' rates, amount to £502,009, leaving an actual deficit of £146,090, which will be further reduced by a readjustment of accounts. Only a moderate increase of taxation will be necessary.

The Ministers being opposed in reelection are Messrs Berry, Vale, Williams, and Richardson. ' '
