This day.
At a special meeting of the Dunedin Chamber of Commerce, held today, resolutions were passed condemning the report of the Public Works Commission on tb.9 Otago Central railways, and it was resolved to urge that the portion under construction should be completed, and continued as far as Sutton Stream.
In the libel case Sleisinger v. Surgeon Wheeler, damages £400, a verdict of £200 damages was given.
