This day.

By fire last evening the dwelling house of Edmund Sutton, of the' firm of Wardrop and Co., was completely destroyed. The damage, done was £2000. The insurance was £500 in the Imperial on building, £300 in the New Zealand on the furniture. The origin of the fire is wrapped in mystery. The only persons in the house at the time were four children, eldest 13. They were all saved though one had a narrow escape, being dragged from under the bed, where he had crouched, by Mr Dugleby.
