In all probability retorting for this mine will take place'to-morrow, when it is anticipated the final cleaning up will bring the month's total up to 800 ounces or over. In the mine there is nothing new of moment to report. Ihe manager informs me that it is his intention shortly to start sinking a winze from the floor of the 160 feet level, at the spot where gold was seen, and exactly under the shot of gold worked in the intermediate level.
