The House resumed and agreed to meet at eleven to-morrow morning to consider the unopposed bills. The District Court Act Amendment Bill, and the Justices of the Peace Act Amendment Bill were discharged from the order paper.

The Hospital and Charitable Aid Endowment Bill and Fire Brigade's Bill were read a second time.

The New Zealand University and Uni« versiry Colleges Bill were considered in committee. .

Mr Tole and Sir G. M. O'Eoi ke supported the bill. Mr BoUeston' thought, for financial reasons, it was useless pressing the bill this session, therefore he moved that the chairman leave the chair.
