Levien, member for the Barwon, has given notice in the Legislative Assembly for the introduction of a bill for reducing the salaries of Ministers by one-third.

In the Legislative Assembly,, after the delivery of the Governor's speech, a vote of want of confidence in the present Ministry was taken without discussion, the result being 48 for and 35 against the
motion.
