A correspondent, under the name of " Virtue is Honor," writes: '«. The long coat, bell-topper hat, and well kept white beard gives him the appearance of a clergyman rather than the keeper of a pub. I just; read an aooount of an inquest on a fellow-being who was found dead a few. yards from the door of this highly respectable looking publican. The sooner this ' sort of thing is pat-down by law the better. The police might easilj take samples of. the liquor sold at thesekills ' and analyse it without the publieaft knowing who the customer is that obtains the samples.
