The repairs and' alterations to the company's battery are making good progress, and in three weeks or a month crushing will be started. Breaking of quartz from the by lode at intermediate level has bren suspended till then, it being indesirable (o block the battery with quartz till crushing starts. The reef at the battery level f ontinues without change for the better or worse, good minerals, including antimony and copper, being seen in tbe quartz. A good deal of outside work has been done lately, moving mullock, laying rails, etc.
