Melboubne, This day. The Political Situation in Victoria. The political situation remains unchanged pending the meeting of Parliament to-morrow. It is understood that no meeting has yet taken place between Berry and Sir John O'Shanriessy, and much speculation continues to exist as to their probable relations in the House.
A caucus of Opposition members will be held to-day to decide upon a line of action.
Melboubne, Tuesday. The banks have reduced interest on deposits to 4 per cent.
Sailed: The Union Company's steamer Botomahana, for the Bluff.
King Geobge's Sound, Tuesday.
Arrived: The P. and O. Company's steamer Kaiserhind, with the inward mails via Suez, which left London on June 18. Davidson is a passenger for Dunediri.
