LITTLE SISSY.
It is probable that the proposalto form a company to work this groundsill be carried into effect; indeed it is advisable th»t it should.be so worked, the reefs being too large to be very successfully operated on by a small party of men. I visited the mine to-day, and found the shift driving eastward on the lode, with the intention of coming on the Dayspring lead. This they expect to reach in •bout 25 feet, when from what they obtained previously they hope to raise • superior class of stone. They propose extending the main drive a distance of 50 feet or so to intersect a large lode running along parrallel with their present reef. To give an idea of the amount of work tbat has been done, I may state that during the past eighteen months about lOOOozs have been obtained, and that chiefly from quartz worth from half an ounce to 15dwts per ton.
