SYDNEY BPALDING \. CHAULES BJJAD. In this case the defendant was charged with making use of threatening language towards the plaintiff, Sydney Spalding. , Mr Campbell defended. Mr Miller appeared for the complainant, and asked that witnesses be ordered to leare the Court. The charge was brought under the 86th section of ttie Justice of the Peace Act. He could prove that most abusive and filthy language had been used by the defendant to complainant. Sydney Spalding said that on Wednesday be was wheeling some manure in the yard, when the defendant made use of filthy language towards him, and threatened to knock his teeth down his throat. Complainant had been so often threatened that he was afraid of - the consequences. Cross-examined by Mr Campbell: I covered the manure over with earth. Alice Spalding gare corroborative evidence. Benjamin Bead and the defendant were called, and denied the complainants statement in toto. The case was dismissed. Court then adjourned.
